2008 Beautiful Scotland seminar
The Annual Beautiful Scotland seminar will take place this year on 10 November 2008 in The Albert Hall, Stirling.
Speakers will include Jon Rathjen of the Scottish Government talking about the Climate Challenge Fund, John Yellowlees of First Scotrail outlining the Adopt-a-Station programme, and a Biodiversity Officer from Scottish Natural Heritage will explain how community groups can encourage biodiversity in their local areas.
In the afternoon Neighbourhood Awards will be presented to community groups across Scotland who have worked to make environmental improvements to their local areas. Entrants will be awarded a Certificate of Improvement, Merit or Outstanding Achievement.
Beautiful Scotland is a programme of Keep Scotland Beautiful and is run by an Advisory Group consisting of representatives of entrant groups, judges, and relevant national organisations.
